SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Engineering Department Assistant will perform the following duties:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that engineering plans and methods department deadlines are met; Assist project engineers in managing their files; Handle engineering department communications (e-mails, phone calls); Follow up on mechanical and electrical parts orders; Evaluate and meet deadlines for flow plans, 2D and 3D plans, production drawings, electrical plans, and customer approval plans; Open and follow up on bids;
Follow-up on project documents; Responsible for end-of-project documentation for deliveries; Ensure that all production, engineering and quality department documentation is collated; Responsible for the Smartsheet platform; Communicate all additions and modifications to the billing department; Manage schedules and leave requests for the engineering and methods department team; All other related tasks to support the team.
REQUIREMENTS
Diploma in Administration or DEC in Engineering; Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual; Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken; Good knowledge of Excel and Outlook; Ability to prioritize, organize and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
SALARY
From $50,000 per year.
