Receiving and Shipping Clerk

Job description:

Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, the Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, storing, and shipping goods. Their duties include verifying deliveries, preparing orders, maintaining inventory, and coordinating with carriers. More specifically, the Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be responsible for performing the following tasks:

• Verify parts upon arrival, ensure that quantities match the purchase order (PO), and then process the receipt;
• Enter parts into the WMS computer system;
• Put away received parts by placing them in their assigned locations in the warehouse (WH);
• Label each part with labels generated by the WMS computer system;
• Shelf the received parts using an RF scanner;
• In collaboration with the inventory controller, ensure the receipt of consumable items and the restocking of bins in their designated locations;
• Report non-conformities to your supervisor;
• Prepare parts for shipment;
• Contact carriers to schedule pickups;
• Track shipments using tracking numbers.
• Assist warehouse staff with their tasks as needed;
• Maintain a clean and well-organized environment in the warehouse;
• Other related tasks.

Requirements:

• Experience operating a propane or electric stand-up forklift (Raymond-style);
• Proficiency in using an RF scanner and a computer (PC);
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Business Central);
• Experience in a manufacturing environment;
• Basic knowledge of customs documents;
• Overtime as needed.
