Electrical Engineering Manager
Profile required
Job description:
• Supervise, guide, and motivate the electrical engineering team;
• Plan the workload and assign projects based on operational priorities;
• Ensure the team’s skill development through training, mentoring, and technical support;
• Conduct performance evaluations and support the professional development of team members;
• Review and approve designs, electrical schematics, and equipment selections produced by the team;
• Ensure that designs comply with applicable standards (CSA, NEC, UL, IEC);
• Serve as a technical resource for other departments (production, service, sales, quality);
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to define project technical requirements;
• Provide technical support to production teams and clients during project execution;
• Participate in technical reviews and design validations;
• Implement and improve processes and standards within the electrical engineering department;
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives based on LEAN principles;
• Participate in the development and standardization of electrical solutions used by the company;
• Perform any other related tasks associated with the role.

Requirements:
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering;
• Be a member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), with full practicing rights and the ability to sign plans and specifications in Quebec;
• Experience in team management or technical supervision;
• Relevant experience in the design of power and control panels or in a similar role;
• Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or other CAD software;
• In-depth knowledge of electrical standards (CSA, NEC, IEC, UL);
• Analytical mindset, autonomy, and technical rigor;
• Experience in technical mentoring and team management (a plus);
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a collaborative environment;
• Excellent communication and leadership skills;
• Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written;
• Knowledge of LEAN principles and a strong interest in continuous improvement.
