The position is located at our EVAPCO World Headquarters in Taneytown, MD, USA

EVAPCO LMP, a CO2 Refrigeration Systems Manufacturer, is searching for the ideal candidate to fill the position of a USA-based, experienced refrigeration start-up and service technician.  This position is looking to be filled due to tremendous growth in the North American market, especially in the USA.  This position will be employed by Evapco Inc., (USA) but will report to Evapco Systems LMP.

Primary job duties:

• Provide technical support before, during and after project start-ups.
  • This position will be prioritized on USA projects but may be asked to travel to any LMP project within North America.
• Provide education and service support to Evapco’s North American customers who install and maintain Evapco LMP Systems.
• Perform regular refrigeration service activities (warranty, paid service, or assisting our customer)
• Inspect factory-built machines before they are shipped to the customer.
• Understand, configure, and support the two primary LMP Controls Platforms – Microthermo & Allen Bradley PLC.
• Travel to customer jobsites unsupervised and with limited instruction after proper onboarding and training of LMP products and systems.
• Physically able to climb ladders, work at high elevations and lift objects up to fifty pounds.

Essential professional qualifications and skills:

• Have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience on service calls as a refrigeration technician Industrial refrigeration experience is a plus but not a requirement.
• Have excellent attention to detail and be highly motivated.
• Be an excellent communicator, including written skills.
• Be available and ready to travel since some start-ups can be scheduled at short notice. Availability to be on call nights and/or weekends if required.
  • Typical start-ups provide 2-4 weeks notice and travel will be on weekdays.
  • However, Evapco LMP’s fanatic customer service mindset means that on occasion short notice and non-weekday travel will be asked upon the Technician Team.
• Have a valid USA driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Have a valid USA Passport and the ability to travel freely to Evapco LMP, Canada, and within North America.
• Be responsible and punctual and open to new technologies.
• Have a positive attitude at all times, especially around customers.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and electronic documentation).
