We are looking for a:

Equipment and Tool Maintenance Technician

Job description:

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Equipment and Tool Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair hand tools (e.g., grinders, drills) as well as production equipment (e.g., miter saws, band saws, welders);
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and tools;
  • Fabricate or adapt simple tools to support operations (e.g., supports, jigs, shelves);
  • Provide operational support by responding quickly to breakdowns or production issues;
  • Establish, organize, and maintain the structure of the maintenance and tooling department;
  • Set up, monitor, and keep toolboxes up to date according to production needs and the various shifts;
  • Manage, organize, and maintain the physical and computerized inventory of tools and parts;
  • Use an ERP system (MPulse) to track repair requests, service calls, and inventory;
  • Research and select tools or parts based on operational needs;
  • Collaborate with production teams to quickly identify equipment-related issues;
  • Perform all other related tasks

Requirements:

• DEP in electromechanics, industrial mechanics, or equivalent;
• Experience in maintaining electrical tools or equipment;
• Ability to diagnose problems and perform repairs independently;
• Demonstrate organizational skills, initiative, attention to detail, and resourcefulness;
• Be self-reliant and versatile;
• Experience with hand tools and manufacturing equipment;
• Experience in the manufacturing sector;
• Experience with the MPulse 9 system (a plus).
