Quality Inspector – Mechanical

Job description:
Reporting to the QA, QC, and Continuous Improvement Manager, the Quality Inspector – Mechanical will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Inspecting refrigeration units using validation documents;
- Ensuring the quality of unit assembly and completing the required inspection reports;
- Consult and use drawings, specifications, and other relevant technical data;
- Work closely with production supervisors, the methods team, and engineering;
- Ensure compliance with the quality control procedures established by the company at every stage of production;
- Promote continuous improvement by proposing solutions to recurring issues;
- Provide training to employees as needed;
- Provide support to other quality inspectors in performing their duties, as needed;
- Prepare, validate, and/or confirm end-of-project documentation.
- Inspect raw materials (incoming) to ensure product consistency and integrity;
- Monitor and address mechanical revisions;
- Inspect piping and issue non-conformance notices;
- Perform any other related tasks.

- Evening shift: Monday through Thursday from 2:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. (40 hours per week)
- $1.00 premium per hour worked on the evening shift
- Paid meal break during the evening shift

Requirements:
- Hold a college or vocational diploma in metallurgy or mechanical engineering, or have equivalent experience;
- Hold a Level 2 visual inspection (non-destructive testing) certification (a plus);
- Have significant experience in the field of refrigeration unit manufacturing (a plus);
- Knowledge of ASME standards (a plus);
- Ability to prioritize and organize;
- Knowledge of continuous improvement principles.
